Edwin Maurice Henry

I’m the proud son of a steelworker, born just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where I learned early that follow-through, grit, and integrity matter. That upbringing gave me a strong work ethic and a nickname I carry with pride: “The Son of Steel.”

But even as a kid, I had an overwhelming desire to be an artist. At 8 years old, my parents enrolled me in a dance class—and the rest, as they say, is history. I earned my BFA in Musical Theater from the University of Cincinnati (CCM), where I also spent time in my senior year collaborating on short films and media projects with students in the electronic media department. That’s where my love for multidisciplinary creativity really began to take shape.

I spent my 20s pounding the pavement as a performer across New York, Los Angeles, Chicago—even China. Years of auditioning taught me resilience, empathy, and the power of reinvention. Somewhere along the way, I had what John Mayer said “might be a quarter-life crisis.” However, I realized that I still wanted to be deeply involved in the arts, but in a way that empowered others to shine. So, I pivoted.

That pivot led me to pursue an MBA in Sports, Arts & Entertainment Management from Point Park University. Since then, I’ve worked in casting, talent representation, brand experience, fitness management, and hospitality leadership—with roles at Apple, Equinox, WeWork, and most recently, The Lighthouse - A Division of Whalar.

At The Lighthouse Venice, I had the incredible opportunity to open a stunning campus for content creators and their teams—a space built to learn, make, and belong. I led vendor negotiations, built operational systems from scratch, and supported the execution of large-scale activations for clients like Will Smith and Serena Williams.

That experience reminded me of something I’ve always known: hospitality is at the heart of everything I do. Great hospitality isn’t complicated really—but it is deeply intentional. It’s about the little things: a warm, inclusive welcome, remembering someone’s medium cold brew with a shot of espresso and five pumps of liquid cane sugar—no cream, and anticipating needs before they’re spoken. It’s about building spaces—literal or digital—where people feel seen.

I’m a student of leadership and of life, always excited to create dynamic human connection and outrageous moments of hospitality. Whether I’m managing a team, producing a brand experience, or reimagining what a customer journey could look like—I bring heart, strategy, and a deep respect for people.

Let’s make cool stuff together.
